Not quite. It was clear that he was not happy at being hoiked off and Paq was having a chat to try and get him to lift his head a bit but I was in 146 and he definitely acknowledged that corner with applause back.
His post match interview also acknowledged the fans.

The Ings for Scamacca sub was bizarre.
it was nice to see the applause Bowen, Paqueta and Scamacca were getting as they walked back to the dugouts around the edge. I was at the other end so couldn't see properly, am I right that Scamacca wasn't reciprocating the applause as he walked back?

My only moan of the night was bringing Ings on and hoiking of Scamacca, he was getting time in the box (A Moyes Ask) and building understandings with other players (Getting his stats up) and he gets hoiked off?
Moyes has painted himself into a corner publically calling out the lad and carping on about 'stats' so doing that makes him look like he doesnt want to be proved wrong.
I hope Scamacca stays, but if Moyes does I bet he doesnt.

Can't get too excited about beating a National League club reduced to 10 men 4-0 at home. However there were one or two good points, we ran a bit more, there appeared to be a little team spirit and Scamacca.
On the downside crazy not to give Scamacca longer, Ings was invisible and the passing in the first half was abysmal. So where does the idiot go from here, train harder, more practise on basics and improve team spirit more or send them on holiday again? I hope he has learnt and we don't see Scamacca binned again when Antonio is fit, play the latter wide which is where he is at his best!!
We know he won't be sacked now but we need to be fit and rarin to go when we play Southampton. We need to see a very different moyes and I am not sure he is capable of learning and modifying his approach.

The only positive from that non event was Fornals trying to get the ref not to send their bloke off. That's it really. It would be typical west Ham to get relegated but win this Mickey Mouse cup. What am I saying Moyes would blow it in the final, he has won fuck all and with his tactics and man management he will always do so.

We can only play who we have in front of us. As far as Europe is concerned we have a 100% record. That’s all it is. I’ve enjoyed going to the European games.

It’s nice to be in for a trophy etc. but 10 wins in 10 compared to 6 wins in 26 in our actual league (I.e. our peers) kind of makes it all a bit bollocks really.
A bit like adults celebrating beating an under 16 side. It feels weird. I would be happier if we were actually doing ok in the PL then it would just be like we are handling our business etc. Also, Moyes really hangs on to these European stats. He’s annoying.
I imagine we’ve spent more on additional players this season than the total value of any of the clubs we’ve played in this league.
I wonder whether Moyes or the players have learnt anything from these European matches? It’s sort of like having preseason friendlies but in season. We should be working out formations and trying out new things to help us in the PL. Clearly none of that has happened or we wouldn’t be where we are.

I think the basic conclusion is that our counter attacking football has been found out and he hasn’t been able to find players that can play through the middle and hold the ball in attacking areas.
Maybe if we spent time in these euro games practising to fix this issue we’d be better in our league fixtures?
The silly thing about Moyes is that he thinks you just drop a creative player in the mix somewhere and it all just works. Like he’s some 80s manager who’s sighed a Brazilian for some flare!
The whole fucking team has to be able to pass and move properly. That’s what you’re meant to coach. You can see in the posture of players like Johnson and soucek especially that they are not comfortable at all doing any of this, especially at speed. 1 or 2 creative players is not the answer. FCJ that is how the result should be framed imo too. Always good to win and progress in any competition but we have yet to play any team that was as strong as Seville or Frankfurt in the Europa.
Results in the league are what really matter to the club’s future.

I didnt bother watching this crap as the friendlies we have beginning of the season are more exciting. I certainly wouldnt read much into beating a really poor side with 10 men. Only positive I see is that we played some youngsters. No doubt Moyes will big up how amazing he is to reach quarter finals 2 years in a row. What a manager he must be.

Scamacca made Moyes comments about data look stupid and proved Moyes doesn’t like him.
Why did he take him off , Scamacca needed the game time , or was Moyes worried that he would score another goal and make his comments look even more crap.

I took great pleasure watching Arsenal going out of the Europa cup as I standing/sitting in the BML when they knocked us out of the quarter final of FA cup 98ish on penalty and DJ played REMs every body hurts after we lost Aboooo missed one

Can't complain about much tonight. It's true that it's really opened up, but still a few good sides left who can't be underestimated. Looking forward to learning our path to the final later.
Worst case, I hope our away support can all have a great few days in Prague, but winning it and being in the EL next season could be a game changer for us over the summer, assuming we stay up.
